Taquilla is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She received a full scholarship to play basketball at the University of Alabama, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. After college, Taquilla traveled the world playing professional basketball. Upon completion of her basketball career, she earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from Grand Canyon University. She is currently in the final stages of obtaining a doctorate in organizational leadership and development. Her experience traveling the world, combined with her education, has given her a profound understanding of the importance of building lasting relationships. Her life experiences have also equipped her with valuable skills used in real estate negotiations, educating homebuyers and sellers, and effectively marketing listings. Taquilla currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Taquilla became a Realtor in December 2021 and was a top producer in 2022 and 2023. She obtained her broker's license and became a co-owner of the real estate team RCRE Group. Outside of real estate, she enjoys working out, motivational speaking, and learning something new every day.
